چکیده

In this study, we propose index modulation (IM) with circularly-shifted chirps (CSCs) (CSC-IM) for dual-function radar and communication (DFRC) systems. The proposed scheme encodes the information bits CSC indices phase-shift keying (PSK) symbols. It allows receiver to exploit frequency selectivity naturally in fading channels by combining IM wideband CSCs. also leverages fact that a is constant-envelope signal achieve controllable peak-to-mean envelope power ratio (PMEPR). For functionality, CSC-IM maintains good autocorrelation (AC) properties of chirp ensuring transmitted CSCs are separated apart sufficiently time domain through separation (IS). We investigate impact IS on spectral efficiency (SE) obtain corresponding mapping functions. theoretical results, derive union bound (UB) block error rate (BLER) arbitrary Cramer-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) range reflection coefficients matched filter (MF)- based estimation. prove complementary sequences (CSs) can be constructed linearly Fourier series Finally, comprehensive comparisons, demonstrate efficacy DFRC scenarios.

A Novel Small E–Ring Shaped Monopole Antenna with Dual Band-Notch Function for UWB Wireless Communications

This paper presents an E-ring shaped printed monopole antenna for UWB applications with dual notched bands performance. In order to generate single frequency band notch function, we applied a U-ring shaped monopole antenna, and by inserting a rectangular ring in the centre of it an E-ring shaped radiating patch created and a dual band-notch function can be achieved. The measured bandwidth of th...

Dual Amplitude-Width Pulse Interval Modulation for Optical Wireless Communications

In this paper, a new modified digital pulse interval modulation called Dual Amplitude-Width Pulse Interval Modulation (DAWPIM) is presented, on the basis of Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), and its properties are presented. After introducing symbol structure, data rate improvement, average normalized power requirement and bandwidth efficiency are studied. The p...

Characterization of Range Sidelobe Modulation Arising from Radar-Embedded Communications

When information sequences are embedded into radar waveforms by means of coding diversity, the resulting radar emissions then change on a pulse-to-pulse basis during a coherent processing interval (CPI). As such, pulse compression of these different waveforms leads to different sidelobe structures, giving rise to range sidelobe modulation (RSM) of the clutter. The presence of RSM induces a part...

A New Data Rate Adaption Communications Scheme for Code-Shifted differential Chaos Shift Keying Modulation

In a binary Transmitted Reference (TR) system each bit is encoded into two wavelets of finite duration. The information is carried by the sign of correlation measured between the two wavelets. The Code-Shifted Differential Chaos Shift Keying (CS-DCSK) modulation scheme transmits the two wavelets in the same time slot and applies two Walsh code sequences to keep the wavelets separated. The CS-DC...
